An old man lived in the village. He was one of the most unfortunate people in the world. 
The whole village was tired of him; he was always gloomy, he constantly complained and was always in a bad mood.
村子里有一个老人，而他可能是世界上最不幸的人之一。全村的人都厌倦他，因为他总是闷闷不乐，不断地抱怨，总是心情不好。
The%20longer%20he%20lived,%20the%20more%20bile%20he%20was%20becoming%20and%20the%20more%20poisonous%20were%20his%20words.%20People%20avoided%20him,%20because%20his%20misfortune%20became%20contagious.%20It%20was%20even%20unnatural%20and%20insulting%20to%20be%20happy%20next%20to%20him.
%20随着时间的推移，他的脾气越来越坏，话语也越来越毒。人们纷纷避开了他，因为他的不幸好像具有传染性，和他在一起的人会感觉快乐是不自然的甚至是有侮辱性的。
%20He%20created%20the%20feeling%20of%20unhappiness%20in%20others.%20But%20one%20day,%20when%20he%20turned%20eighty%20years%20old,%20an%20incredible%20thing%20happened.%20Instantly%20everyone%20started%20hearing%20the%20rumor:
%20他在别人身上也制造了一种不快乐的感觉。但是当他八十岁那天，发生了一件不可思议的事情，大家立刻开始听到有人说：
%20“An%20Old%20Man%20is%20happy%20today,%20he%20doesn’t%20complain%20about%20anything,%20smiles,%20and%20even%20his%20face%20is%20freshened%20up.”

，他什么都不抱怨，喜欢微笑，甚至他的脸也恢复了活力。”
The whole village gathered together. The old man was asked，What happened to you?
全村都聚集在一起，老人被问到：你到底怎么了？
“Nothing special. Eighty years I’ve been chasing happiness, and it was useless. And then I decided to live without happiness and just enjoy life. That’s why I’m happy now.” – An Old Man
“没什么特别的。80年来，我一直在追求幸福，后来发现那是徒劳的，现在我决定顺其自然，只是享受生活，这就是我现在快乐的原因”。老人说道。
寓意：不要过度追求幸福，谁说现在的生活就是不幸福的呢？
