大兴机场：北京大兴国际机场位于天安门广场以南46公里处，于2019年9月30日投入使用，该臣型工程于2014年开工建设，高峰时工地上有4万多工人，航站楼设计紧凑，可以允许最大数量的飞机直按停靠在最靠近航楼中心的位置，这给乘客提供了极大的方便，航站楼共有82个登机口，但乘客通过安检后，只需不到8分钟就能抵达任何一个登机口。机场的设计可确保每小时300架次起降。机场年客运量2040年将达到1亿人次，有望成为世界上最繁忙的机场。

Beijing Daxing International Airport, located 46kms to the south ofTian’anmen Square, was open to passengers on September 30, 2019. Thislarge-scale project started in 2014, and at peak hours, over 40,000 workers wereworking simultaneously. The compact design of the terminal allows the maximumnumber of planes to directly wait at the place closest to the

intended boardinggate, which brings great convenience to passengers. Though there are a total of82 boarding gates on the terminal, passengers can reach any of them within eightminutes after security check. The design of the airport ensures that 300airplanes can take off and land safely each hour. The annual passenger trips areexpected to hit 100 million by 2040, taking Beijing Daxing International Airportoff to be one of the busiest airports in the world.

句子后面部分“航站楼设计紧凑，可以允许最大数量的飞机直按停靠在最靠近航楼中心的位置，这给乘客提供了极大的方便”意思连接更为紧密，可作为一个译群进行翻译。该句的难点在于“直按停靠在最靠近航楼中心的位置”，如果直译为stopas near as possible the air terminalcenter,对于去过大兴机场的人还好理解，如果没去过，其实还是有些难以理解的。因此不如意译成原文要表达的意思，就是飞机停靠在登机口最近的位置:Thecompact design of the terminal allows the maximum number of planes to directlywait at the place closest to the intended boarding gate.

下面的句子“航站楼共有82个登机口，但乘客通过安检后，只需不到8分钟就能抵达任何一个登机口。”中间有“但”，可以分成两部分来翻译，用表示让步或转折的连词连接，Thoughthere are a total of 82 boarding gates on the terminal, passengers can reach anyof them within eight minutes after security check.

下面句子“机场的设计可确保每小时300架次起降。”是一个完整句意，可译为The design of the airport ensures that300 airplanes can take off and land safely each hour.

最后一句“机场年客运量2040年将达到1亿人次，有望成为世界上最繁忙的机场。”后面部分显然是前者的一个结果，可以非谓语结构来表示结果，Theannual passenger trips are expected to hit 100 million by 2040, taking BeijingDaxing International Airport off to be one of the busiest airports in theworld.
