Title: Introduction to Weather

Objectives:

- Students will be able to describe the weather using adjectives.
- Students will be able to discuss how different types of weather may affect their daily activities.

Materials:
- Pictures of different types of weather (sunny, cloudy,


rainy, snowy)
- Flashcards with corresponding adjectives (e.g. sunny = hot, bright, warm)
- Whiteboard and markers
- Song or rhyme about weather (optional)

Procedure:

1. Warm-up (5 minutes)
- Greet students and introduce the topic of weather.
- Start by asking students about what types of weather they have experienced or seen recently (e.g. "Has it been sunny or rainy outside lately?").
- Play a short game of "Simon says" using different weather-related actions (e.g. "Simon says jump like it's raining!").

2. Weather vocabulary (15 minutes)
- Show students pictures of different types of weather (sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy) and ask them to identify what type of weather it is.
- Introduce them to the corresponding adjectives (e.g. sunny = hot, bright, warm) using flashcards.
- Have students repeat the adjectives after you and try to use them in sentences (e.g. "It is a bright, sunny day today!").

3. Weather discussion (15 minutes)
- Engage students in a group discussion about how different types of weather may affect their daily activities (e.g. "What do you do on a rainy day?").
- Draw a chart on the whiteboard with different types of weather as headings and ask students to suggest activities for each type of weather.
- Have students come up and write their suggestions on the chart.

4. Wrap-up (10 minutes)
- Review the different types of weather and corresponding adjectives.
- Sing a song or recite a rhyme about weather (optional).
- End the lesson by asking students to share what they have learned about weather.

Assessment:
- Observe


students during the group discussion to measure their level of participation and understanding.
- Have students draw a picture of their favorite type of weather and write a sentence using the corresponding adjective.
